Tuesday, September 11th, the 1st grade students in Miss Castillo's class at Benavides Heights Elementary spent their class period learning about the events that occurred 17 years ago on 9/11.
Students participated in a class discussion about why it is important to never forget the events that occurred on September 11, 2001 and also talked about the heroes that helped save many lives.
They also wrote about what exactly makes a hero!
