As students in Mrs. Mercer’s English IV classes at CC Winn are preparing for the reading of Beowulf, they pondered on what their personal definition of a hero was.
Students were asked to provide a quote that embodies their interpretation of what a hero is.
In addition, students paired up their quote with a picture representative of their definition.
Tuesday, September 11th, students shared their quotes and pictures with their classmates.
The activity served to help students realize that there are many different ways in which a hero can be defined.
