Tuesday, September 11th, C.C.Winn faculty and staff were trained on Medical Emergencies that may arise on their campus.
Training was conducted by Sonia Kurt, RN-BSN, nurse assigned to Winn High School.
Teachers were trained during conference periods.
WHS would like to commend the teachers for their commitment to attend.
Topics included implementation of universal precautions post a 9/11 society, the use of the epipen, procedures for handling chocking, seizures, bleeding, fainting and the proper way to use the automated external defibrillator.
Winn is hoping that they will never have to use any procedures learned, but if the need arises, the Mavericks are ready!
