Monday, September 3rd, the students in Mrs. Alva-Rodriguez's English III classes at CC Winn High School analyzed persuasive appeals using mobile technology as they view selected commercials.
Mrs. Alva-Rodriguez provided her students with a list of ads that feature the use of Ethos, Pathos, and Logos to persuade viewers to purchase a product.
Mrs. Alva-Rodriguez took this usual lesson up a notch by integrating mobile technology and QR codes to booster student interest.
Students used various mobile apps to access the commercials, iPhone cameras, QR Scanners, or Snapchat, all of which led them to YouTube to view the media pieces.
This lesson allowed them to use their technological skills in conjunction with their analytical skills.
