The students in Miss Cruz' English 2 Pre-AP class at Winn have been reviewing important elements of literature such as tone, diction, and syntax in reading.
This review should help students become better aware of these elements and help improve these areas of writing.
Wednesday, September 5th, the Pre AP students were introduced to the Greek myth of Icarus and were asked to analyze various pieces of art inspired by the myth for their tone, interpersonal relationships, and the intended message.
Though analyzing art, Miss Cruz hopes these artistic connections will make these literary elements clearer for her students when analyzing literary pieces and while writing.
