Friday, November 9th, C. C. Winn High School Student Council students traveled to San Antonio, Texas to support the Winn Mavericks Football team on their last game of the regular season.
StuCo members work diligently at every home game running the concession stand in order to fundraise money to be able to afford traveling with our team.
These fundraisers help the organization to pay for a charter bus and a good meal for the top 25-35 members of the month according to the point system.
The bus load of 35 students (which also included Life Skills) enjoyed an incredible buffet dinner before the game to help fuel them up for the spirited night.
The cold did not stop these students from cheering, chanting, and dancing in the bleachers and supporting their team one last time.
This has been such a memorable experience for all the Maverick students in attendance all season with the tunnel crew, flag, mascot and spirit squad!
StuCo would also like to thank Ms. Karina Kypuros for traveling with the Mavericks to every out of town game as a volunteer in her own free time.
