The English Department at Winn High never takes a break from teaching!
Friday, November 16th, the department sported their new t-shirts which allows them to “teach” even when they’re not teaching.
As the December administration of the EOC exam is fast approaching, any little reinforcement helps.
The department purchased the shirts with the statement: THERE are people who didn’t listen to THEIR teacher’s grammar lessons, and THEY’RE driving me nuts.
As there, their, and they’re are three of the most commonly misused words in the English language, they decided to make it a point to emphasize the difference between the words even when they’re not teaching.
And at the end of the day, Winn teachers know that THERE are Mavericks who do listen to THEIR teacher’s grammar lessons, and THEY’RE making them proud.
