C. C. Winn’s Annual Renaissance Faire presented by the English Department took place on Thursday, January 31st.
Students representing all grade levels brought glamour and creativity to the stage as they walked the runway modeling their Renaissance inspired clothing.
Under the direction of Mrs. Mercer, over 50 students owned the runway showing off their beautiful designs and creations.
Students represented either members of the various social classes of the time period or characters from their favorite Shakespearean plays.
Students represented monks, gypsies, maidens, and members of the royalty. In addition, characters from plays such as Hamlet, Julius Caesar, King Lear, Macbeth, and Romeo and Juliet, also made their appearance on the runway.
Students took time out of their busy schedules in preparation of this event. Students were required to conduct a mini research in order to make this event a success.
Mrs. Mercer would like to thank both parents and students for their commitment in making this event a success.
