Liberty Elementary Lady Eagles brought home the Division III Basketball Championship Trophy after a nail-biting game at the Multipurpose Building on March 2nd.
The game was tied at 5-5 at the end of the first period as both teams displayed their stingy defense.
In the second period, the Lady Eagles had more ball movement and led at halftime 12-8.
The third period had several momentum changes keeping the game close, but the Lady Eagles managed to maintain an 18 to 15 edge.
The final period was the most exciting, but the Lady Eagles kept their poise under the direction of Coach Mac De Alba!
Liberty Elementary staff and students would like to congratulate both teams on a successful season and wonderful display of sportsmanship.
The Lady Eagles finish the season with a 10-1 record, with a 10 game winning streak!
