February 26th - March 1st, 35 Eagle Pass Independent School District teachers, instructional aides, and speech pathologists completed an amazing 40 hour training for Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential.
This large group of determined individuals was trained in autism RBT by Alonzo Andrews, UTSA Autism Research Center Specialist.
This was all made possible through a grant awarded by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board that allows the University of Texas at San Antonio to offer teachers across the state of Texas who provide direct services to students with autism training.
Every bit of information was valuable and a great necessity!
Special Education Director, Ms. Elizabeth Torres, would like to thank UTSA and Mr. Andrews for their dedication to this cause and for coming down and sharing this information with our staff.
