Mrs. Duran posed a question: Are viruses alive?
The students’ task was to debate the answer even though they already knew that the answer was no.
Tuesday, September 11th, one group had the difficult task of arguing that indeed, viruses are alive.
In order to defend their points, students researched the characteristics of life and integrated other central themes of AP Biology.
The themes included evolution, mutations, DNA/RNA, and environmental impact on species.
Students used multiple formats such as Google Slides, posters, and videos.
Overall, Mrs. Duran was impressed with the quality of work displayed by her students.
Good job, Mavericks!
