The English II students in Mrs. Leija’s class at CC Winn High School were assigned the task of creating a persuasive magazine ad and a TV commercial promoting a product.
With this assignment, students were expected to incorporate persuasive techniques that have been reviewed in class, as well as engage their audience using their creativity in order to fully convince their classmates that their product is worthy of purchase.
In order to give students the spotlight this assignment calls for, a large TV like screen was placed at the front of the classroom.
Thursday, September 13th, the English II students did not fall short of what was expected, they brought samples and even gave away items to the audience to show case their product.
In fact, they truly demonstrated mastery of the art of persuasive language and their public speaking skills.
