WHS English II Tackles Inventions

Mrs. Leija and Ms. Cruz' English II classes at CC Winn were hit with the Black Plague!
The classes were busy preparing for Renaissance Faire on Wednesday, January 30th.
The students were tasked with dressing like rats and plague doctors.
They prepared a presentation for the Guild of Science, Technology, and Inventions that had them passing out black roses that symbolized the "black death" and the history behind the plague.
The Guild of Science, Technology and Inventions, also put the final touches on various inventions which are still used today.
Inventions such as clocks, toilets, spectacles, parachutes, and weaponry.
Science and art worked hand in hand, therefore, students recreated various famous pieces of art, which included "The Last Supper" and "Mona Lisa".
After thorough time dedicated for research, students were ready to educate their audience on their various replicas the following day.
Mrs. Leija and Mrs. Cruz would like to thank their Maverick Sophomore classes for working so hard to make the Guild of Science, Technology, and Inventions a hit.
