Be an ENZYME - a catalyst for change!
Thursday, September 20th, Miss Uriegas' Biology classes at CC Winn had the opportunity to explore how quickly Lactaid (Lactase) works to break down milk sugar (Lactose) into glucose and galactose!
Students added Benedict's solution to a mixture of Lactaid and milk, and when glucose was created the solution turned orange!
Through this fun activity, students applied their newly acquired knowledge in an engaging and fun way!
