The Thundering Maverick Band traveled to Crystal City this party Friday, August 31st, to support the C.C. Winn High School Football Team.
The sun, shining in his full might, reflecting off their instruments, was not strong enough to wither the Maverick Spirit as the band cheered on their team, playing fan favorite stand tunes and the uplifting fight song, touchdown after touchdown.
The game also marked off the beginning of their season as the band performed their half-time show for the first time on a football field.
The show features music from Stravinsky's Petrushka, the Motown classic I'm Your Puppet, and Metallica's Master of Puppets.
C.C. Winn Thundering Maverick Band wishes the football team, cheerleaders, Silverline, Student Council, coaches, managers, directors, and assistants the best of luck this Football/Marching season.
They also wish all EPISD schools good luck this school year.
