EPHS Preps for Safety Education

Wednesday, March 13th, Eagle Pass High School Algebra teachers received a training on the Texas Community Safety Education Act by Executive Director of Instruction, Mr. Camarillo and Science/Social Studies Director, Mr. Vielma.
As per Senate Bill 30, school districts and charter schools need to provide instruction to students in grades 9-12 on proper interaction with peace officers during traffic stops and other in-person encounters.
The new requirement applies to any student who enters grade 9 in the 2018-2019 school year and thereafter.
EPHS thanks Mr. Camarillo and Mr. Vielma all their help ensuring their students' safety.
Go Eagles!
