Friday, March 8th, C.C. Winn students learned about the importance of recycling scrap metal.
They learned that making good use of any material available is essential and that recycling is a very common practice in the welding industry.
They also learned that when metal is collected for recycling, it has to be sorted by type of metal in order for the processing to begin.
When this process is complete, the molten metal is poured into the furnace.
After this, the metal is ready to be reused.
